His Voice Walks in the Cool of the Day

Genesis 3:6-9 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 And they heard the Voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, their eyes were opened and they realized they were naked. Then they did what was most common for man, they covered their sin. After that the Scripture says they heard the Voice of the Lord walking in the cool of the day. How does a voice walk?

The Voice of the Lord walking in the cool of the day tells us that the Voice of the Lord is coming on the scene. His Voice is active; it is coming in the cool of the day.

There is a time when the Voice of the Lord is coming forth and it is in the cool of the day. When is the cool of the day? It is in the early morning hours and the late evening hours. Genesis 1:5 says that the evening and the morning were the first day of a week of days. A day represents a level in the realm of Spirit. As you progress in the Lord you ascend from level to level. The Word coming forth in the cool of the day – the evenings and mornings of your walk with God – is like the early and latter rain. The early rain or cool of the morning Word teaches you how to walk with God on the new level you have entered. The latter rain or the cool of the evening Word brings forth the maturity of the level so you can move into the next level.

Are you in a cool of the day? That is when the Voice of the Lord is walking; that is when it is the most active.
