Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He has made us accepted in the Beloved.
This verse is the great eliminator of insecurity. God has made us accepted in the Beloved. That means we don’t have to earn it, just believe it. It is to the glory of His grace. Read with me the literal Greek translation: Into the praise of the glory of the grace of Him, of which He favored us in the One having been loved. The grace is not something apart from God. When we receive His grace, we are receiving Him in some measure. We are “favored” in the “One having been loved.”
Do you realize what that means? It means that when Jesus was baptized and the Voice from heaven said, This is My Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased (Matthew 3:17), we were counted as in the Beloved. God wasn’t merely speaking of Jesus Christ the individual. If you can receive it, He was speaking of us, too. We were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4). That means whatever God said or promised Jesus Christ was also said and promised us, for we were in Him. That is God’s truth, and it must become our truth, too.
